ABOUT ALAN

Although he considers his whole life a creative path, it wasn't until CRAIG ALAN was in his second year of college that he started his formal training in two-dimensional, 3D and Theater Arts. The year was 1992, and he was a student at the University of Mobile, Alabama.

A student of observation, Alan keeps journals that contain his ideas and inspirations. He tries to simulate human behavior through each image he creates. To him, the people and how they interact with each other is the most important aspect of each paintings, "We are all symbiotic beings, all part of something greater and lesser than ourselves."

In 2007, he was in his mother's condo in Orange Beach, Alabama, watching people from the balcony. He started photographing and noticed a pattern in the camera. Portraits had always come easy to him. And it was only natural that the perspective and skill would combine into his revolutionary "Populus" series. This would become a turning point in his already noteworthy and successful career.

Collected around the world, Alan work continues in popularity and collectibility.
